Robbery accused surprised at $75,000 bail grant

KEVIN Harris, 34, of Lot 103 John Street, Sophia, Greater Georgetown, was granted $75,000 bail yesterday, on a charge of robbery with aggravation. Before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton, he was accused of having, on April 1, being together with another, robbed Tularam Mitram of one gold chain and a cell phone valued a total of $47,000.
After defence counsel, Cecil Sullivan made a successful application for his pre-trial freedom, Harris appeared surprised and enquired if the surety was, indeed, $75,000 and being told it was he declared:”Wow”.
The case will be called, again, on May 16.
