Amelia’s Ward secure full points, four other teams share points
PLAY in the GFF Super League competition continued on Sunday at the Blairmont and Beterverwagting grounds. At the Beterverwging gound in game one, Buxton United and Milerock played to a 1-1 all draw. Jamaal Booker scored for Buxton in the 38th minute and Dishawn Joseph equalised in the 66th minute for Milerock. Buxton United missed a penalty in the first half.
In game two at the same venue Amelia’s Ward got the better of Victoria Kings by a 2-0 margin. Matthew White scored in the 30th minute and Odel Allicock (goalkeeper) scored a penalty in the 54th min.
At the Blairmont Community Centre ground, Rosignol United and Den Amstel played to an exciting 2-2 draw.
For Den Amstel, Gideon Payne scored in the 5th min and Rondel Hutson scored the second goal d in the 73rd minute for the home team. Clifford Campbell scored in the 22nd minute and Delbert Wilson equalised in the 89th minute.
Play continues with three matches at two venues this Sunday.. At the Beterverwagting ground starting at 15:45hrs, Victoria Kings and Milerock will clash in the lone game.
Super League action returns to the GFC ground when Pele and Amelia’s Ward do battle at 18:00hrs and in the feature game, league leaders Alpha United and Western Tigers will confront each other in a game which is expected to be action-packed with both teams looking for a win.
