Wazeeda Singh of Better Hope, East Coast Demerara was placed before Sparendaam Magistrate Alex Moore yesterday for using threatening language, wherein it was alleged that, on March 23, she threatened Durpattie Gopaul at Better Hope. Singh pleaded guilty to the charge, but her counsel, Attorney-at-Law Gwendolyn Bristol, highlighted that she was hearing-impaired and that the situation was not as bad as it seemed.
Considering that Singh had never been charged before, Magistrate Moore reprimanded and discharged her with warnings about the seriousness of the offence she had committed.
