Too much at stake to compromise in matters of discipline

IS it that I have become too squeamish or is it that current administrators have become prone in over-looking the virtue of maintaining discipline as mandatory in achieving success? The latest incident of this fatal lapse has occurred in the discipline Guyana Police Force, and I refer to the alarming misconduct of a commander of a division in the force. Quite clearly, Assistant Commissioner, David Ramnarine is guilty of violating all the best principles and regulations governing the expected good conduct of all members of the Police Force.
What is more, it is a specific regulation that was violated in exactly what Ramnarine did in communicating with a publisher without prior authority of the Police Commissioner. Indeed, the Police Chief is correct in directing that appropriate action be taken against this violator; there is just too much at stake in compromising on matters of discipline.
In fact, there is no entity in the entire world that enjoys success without embracing as a cardinal principle the strict adaption of discipline in work ethics.
My squeamishness is certainly not misplaced when I consider the parlous state of affairs confronting the West Indies Cricket Board and the patent indiscipline of former cricket captain Christopher Gayle.
This cricket malady is typical of the effects in ignoring to act more condignly with the indiscipline of Gayle. His latest disrespect is to cause the top brass of WICB and CARICOM to meet with him for the sole purpose of telling them, that he is more interested in playing T/20 cricket than playing test.
What a thorough shame and insult. This man is being made to believe that he is bigger than the game.
