KISSOON Mc Leon, 30, of 73 Tain Settlement Corentyne, Berbice, yesterday appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry to answer a conspiracy charge.
He pleaded not guilty to the offence, which stated that between March 10, 2009, and March 18, 2012, he conspired together with persons unknown to forge one Republic of Guyana passport in favour of himself, knowing same to be false. Police Corporal Jairam Luckhai, prosecuting, had no objection to bail, but requested that a condition be attached. He asked that the defendant report every two weeks to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
The application was granted and the defendant was placed on $100,000 bail. The matter will be called again on April 17.
