NAZEIA Hassan (no address given), yesterday appeared before Sparendaam Magistrate Alex Moore charged with threatening and abusive language. It has been alleged that on March 13 at Triumph, East Coast Demerara, the defendant used threatening and abusive language to Verasammy Ramdeen and Natasha Ramdeen respectively.
The defendant, represented by Attorney-at-law Gwendolyn Bristol, pleaded not guilty to both charges, and successfully applied for self bail on the grounds that the defendant is of a very kind nature and has never previously been charged with any offence.
Hassan was then sent away on her own recognizance, and instructed to return to court on April 12 for trial.
