Wife agrees to drop case if husband stays away from her

Noel Joy of Vryheid’s Lust East Coast Demerara, appeared yesterday before Sparendaam Magistrate Alex Moore charged with threatening language, wherein he was alleged to have uttered threatening language to his wife Rosalyn Joy on January 20 at Vryheid’s Lust ECD. The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge, and the court was made to understand that the duo has had a previous case of assault before the court.
The virtual complainant told Magistrate Moore that she is willing to drop the case and offer no evidence against her husband if he promises to stay away from her.
The defendant agreed to this, and the matter was dismissed as a result of settlement, but the defendant was let off with a caution.
