CASTROL Strikers Volleyball Club, in collaboration with Demerara Volleyball Association, will host the long-awaited Castrol Trade Wind Tankers, True Champions Volleyball Tournament semi-finals at the newly renovated international volleyball surface at the National Gymnasium this Saturday from 16:00hrs. Four teams will meet to decide their final places to win over $200 000 in cash and other prizes. The semi-finals will see three categories of play in the 2v2, 4v4 and 6v6 format and will be keenly contested by Young Achievers, Castrol Strikers, Port Mourant Training Centre, and Port Mourant Jaguars.
Young Achievers are unbeaten locally for the past three years and recently won the Inter-Guiana club tournament in Suriname, defeating the best clubs in Suriname and French Guiana.
The final and the third place playoff are set for Saturday, March 17, at the same venue.
