WORLD Day of Prayer will be observed on Friday March 2, 2012, under the theme, “Let Justice Prevail”. The worship service is written by the women of the World Day of Prayer Committee of Malaysia, and adapted by the Guyana World Day of Prayer Committee.
World Day of Prayer is a worldwide ecumenical movement of women of many traditions in more than 17 countries and regions, who have a continuing relationship of prayer and service.

The service in Georgetown will be held at St. Andrew’s Kirk, Brickdam and Avenue of the Republic, beginning at 17:00hrs.
Services will also be held in New Amsterdam, Corriverton, Beterverwagting, Grove, Linden; and Bartica.   
On Sunday, March 4, there will be a service for children and young adults at Calvary  Lutheran Church, Alexander Street and North Road, Georgetown, beginning at 15:00hrs.
