GFF Super League preliminary final matches on tomorrow

THE preliminary round matches in the GFF Super League will conclude tomorrow with two games at the Uitvlugt Community Centre ground. In the first game at 13:00hrs, NA United will oppose Mill Ballers of Bartica in a match that NA United will have to win by a wide margin if they are to  come out winners  in the group.
A win will take them to 6 points but to give themselves a chance they will have to defeat the Barticans by at least 4 or 5 clear goals.
But for them to qualify, Grove Hi Tech will have to defeat Den Amstel by a 1-goal margin in the second game which commences at 15:00hrs.
A win for Grove Hi Tech will see them go to 6 points also but they will have to beef up their goal difference.
What is in Grove Hi Tech’s favour is that they will be playing second and they will know what they have to do. However, if Mill Ballers win their game against NA United, Grove will just have to win by a 1-goal margin.
Den Amstel can put all these speculations to rest by winning or drawing the match. They are on 6 points.
The winner of the Group will join Amelia’s Ward as the new teams.
The other participating teams are Alpha United, Western Tigers & Pele of Georgetown, Milerock and Amelia’s Ward of Linden, Seawall of West Demerara, Buxton United and Victoria Kings of East Demerara and Rosignol United of Berbice.
Competition in the Super League will commence on Sunday, March 4, with five matches at the various venues. Games will be played at the following grounds: GFC, MSC, Buxton, BV, Uitvlugt and Blairmont.
