MECHANIC Ganesh Ghansiam, 57, of Cummings Lodge, appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore, at Sparendaam Court, also on East Coast Demerara, yesterday, charged with assault. Particulars of the charge accused the defendant of having assaulted Ramaka Ramkarran, at Cummings Lodge on February 17.
But Ghansiam pleaded not guilty and was granted $10,000 bail.
The magistrate asked the men if they were willing to settle the matter but they both requested a trial and that was fixed for April 4.
