TWO persons are in police custody following the discovery of a bag containing 360 grammes of cannibas sativa (marijuana) at a house in East Canje, Berbice. The bust took place Tuesday night after ranks, acting on information received, went to the Main Street address and carried out a search in the residence.
While searching one of the three bedrooms, two bags, containing a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems of the prohibited plant was found under a bed.
The arrested men were taken to Reliance Police Station, Canje, where the narcotic was weighed in their presence for the continuing investigations.
