THE Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) would like to express great sadness at the loss of our dear friend and colleague and former Deputy Mayor Robert Williams (J.P, C.O.A) who died last Monday at the age of 62, following a brief period of illness. According to the GCA, Williams who also served the Municipality of Georgetown as Mayor, was a real patriot, a son of the soil and a genuine friend of cricket, always willing to assist in any way possible and he will indeed be sorely missed.
The GCA offered its deepest sympathy to his dear wife Gwen and family members during this time of great loss and reminded them that the GCA’s thoughts and prayers are with them in this time of grief. The body of the late Williams will be laid to rest today,
