GFF to host coaches forum today

The Forum will be administered by Technical Director of the GFF Jamaal Shabazz and it is anticipated that approximately 25 coaches who are identified in this ‘National’ category will be in attendance at this Forum, which will bring coaches abreast with extant developments and initiatives in the coaching of football.
Registration of participants will commence at 08:30hrs, followed by a brief opening ceremony at 09:00hrs, where Deputy General Secretary of the GFF, George Rutherford, will deliver remarks in the absence of acting president Franklyn Wilson.
Meanwhile, the local contingent of the national male football team, the Golden Jaguars, will be encamped from today to commence official preparation for competition in the third stage of the FIFA Brazil 2014 World Cup qualification preliminaries.
Home-based members of the squad will be encamped at the Raddison Suites Hotel in Georgetown, under the keen eyes of Shabazz and his assistant Wayne Dover.
The team is expected to play a number of friendly international games in the Caribbean this month, against teams from Trinidad and Tobago on the 15th and 17th, St Vincent and the Grenadines on the 20th and Grenada on the 23rd, before they return home to take on Guatemala at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, on February 29.
