Junior’s Jewellery and Pawn Shop supports Namilco Football Festival

JUNIOR’S Jewellery and Pawn Shop of 64 Robb Street, Lacytown, for the sixth consecutive year will be providing one gold chain to the highest goalscorer in this year’s Namilco Football Festival which kicks off on Sunday.
In a simple ceremony at the company’s location, proprietor Ferdinand Bacchus Jr, expressed his delight in giving back to the community over the years, particularly with this Namilco Football tournament which is organised by the Fruta Conquerors Football Club.
He said: “Ever since I was approached six years ago for this support, I continued to do so without hesitation because it directly and indirectly supports the development of youths in our beloved society through the game. I am happy for the tournament and wish it every success.”
Captain of Fruta Conquerors, Eon Alleyne, who was at the ceremony thanked Bacchus for his continued support and faith in the club and the tournament.
He also challenged himself and players to ensure that the player who will receive the prize will be deserving of it, because that player will be challenged to top the list in a maximum of four matches.
The tournament gets on the way  with a double-header at the Tucville Ground from  18:00hrs as Sunburst Camptown engage the University of Guyana (UG) in the opening match then Beacon and Northern Rangers clash in the feature match from  20:00hrs.
