I, MARIA FONTENELLE of 22 South Vryheid Lust, East Coast Demerara, mother of six children, applied for a house lot and did not regret waiting patiently for the process to run its course. I am happy to state that I have been successful and am now in receipt of my house lot.
I could not believe it but on January 4 this year, Minister of Housing and Water, Mohamed Irfaan Ali made my day when I was told that I have been allotted a house lot. It was like a dream come through.
I pray and hope that  during this year thousands of Guyanese who have applied for  house lots would  share the same feeling like I did.
The minister and his team are doing a wonderful job in their efforts to comfortably house the nation.
