TWENTY-EIGHT members of a volunteer Adventist group from the United States (U.S.) visited Mashabo Amerindian community on Essequibo Coast recently and constructed a beautiful church building there. The visitors, led by a pastor from Idaho State, erected the structure of timber they cut and transported from the nearby forest.
Residents, who also helped with the construction, said it is the first Adventist place of worship to be built at Mashabo since they began to fellowship some 40 years ago and they are very happy and thankful to their visiting brothers and sisters.
