Pronouncement on patient’s death has to await post mortem results
THE Management of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation wishes to state, in response to the article published in the today 17 January, 2012 edition of the Kaieteur newspaper captioned, ‘Woman dies at GPHC, delayed treatment blamed… after low potassium, paralysis diagnosed’ that a review of the patient’s death has been undertaken by the relevant personnel. However, a pronouncement cannot be made without the results of a post mortem examination, which is scheduled to be conducted tomorrow, 18 January, 2012.
Condolences are  extended to the family of the deceased.
