THE health services in Region 3 (Essequibo Islands/West Demerara) has been given a boost with the acquisition of a new state-of-the-art ambulance. According to Regional Executive Officer, Mr. Paul Ramrattan, the ambulance will be a big boost for the current three-year rehabilitation and expansion of the regional health services programme in Region 3.
Ramrattan stated that the ‘3270 cc’ Nissan vehicle was purchased from R & P Medical Import through the regional capital budget at a cost of $4.8m.
