Guyanese appointed AG in St. Lucia

RECENTLY elected St. Lucia Prime Minister Kenny Anthony has announced the appointment of Guyanese-born Kim C. St. Rose as Attorney General (AG). St. Rose, who succeeds Lorenzo Rudolph Francis, had previously served as a litigator for the firm Gordon & Gordon in Castries.
Before then, she worked as a sole practitioner and did two stints as a magistrate/ judge on the island, according to the Caribbean Journal.
St. Rose also worked with the Jamaican law firm, Crafton S. Miller & Associates.
Her legal career includes four years as a State Counsel in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in Guyana.
A graduate of the University of the West Indies (UWI) and the Hugh Wooding Law School, she was admitted to practice at the Bars of Guyana, St. Lucia and Jamaica.
