‘FOOD AND RUBBISH’: If a picture tells a thousand words, imagine what these two pictures are saying for the hygiene practices of the vendor(s) responsible for placing this heap of plantains literally in the midst of this veritable dumpsite at the Stelling View Market, in downtown Georgetown. Are they serious about marketing their produce, or have they decided to dump all this food? And should a market be so besieged by rubbish? Come on, City Hall; it’s time for a clean sweep.
