Five defendants remanded overnight to cool off

FIVE persons, facing charges of abuse and assault, were all remanded to prison overnight, yesterday, by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton. Jennifer and Raymond Sansculotte, Kim and Randolph De Santos and Farha Khan (no addresses given) all pleaded not guilty.
Particulars of one charge said, on December 22, the two Sansculottes made use of abusive language to the De Santoses and, the same day, the last two abused the former duo.
It was alleged that Randolph De Santos unlawfully assaulted Khan, who used abusive language to the De Santoses.
Police sergeant, Gordon Mansfield, prosecuting, told the court there is an ongoing problem among the defendants.
The magistrate, on remanding the defendants, remarked that they are grown people who should know how to conduct themselves and needed time to cool off.
All the defendants will be back in court today.
