THE partly decomposed body of an unidentified woman was found behind the Bedford Methodist Church on North Road and Camp Street in Georgetown last evening. According to persons residing in the area, the woman, who appeared to be in her thirties, was discovered by a fruit vendor.
Reports say that the fruit vendor, who sells on the pavement outside the church, saw the body on Tuesday, and she thought it was a street urchin resting in the yard.
But then yesterday she realized that it was a dead body and she raised an alarm.
The police were alerted and reports say the body bore three stab wounds.
The police are investigating what appears to be a case of murder.
