Banks DIH and Grove to battle in Sunday’s final
HAVING recorded semifinal victories over Kuru Kururu Warriors and Timehri Panthers respectively, Banks DIH and Grove Hi-Tech will meet in Sunday’s final of the East Bank Football Association organized Banks DIH sponsored Coca Cola Premier League yesterday.
Playing at the Diamond Community Centre ground, Banks DIH defeated Kuru Kururu Warriors two nil in the first semi final, with Devon Forde (26th) and Phillip Rowley 47th being the goal scorers.
In the feature match, Grove Hi-Tech and their nemesis Timehri Panthers played to a 1-1 draw, forcing the game to be decided on via the penalty kick shootout, wherein Grove Hi-Tech came out victorious by a 6-5 margin.
Sunday’s final which will be played at the same venue will be preceded by the third place playoff between Timehri Panthers and Kuru Kururu Warriors from 13:00hrs, with the finals kicking off at 15:00hrs.
