Guyanese Sensei selected to US national team touring Asia in 2012

FOLLOWING the national karate championship in Atlantic City in May of this year where Guyanese Troy Bobb was successful  in securing first in the form (Kata), Weapons & Musical, his participation was graced by the presence of the famous Billy Blanks who conducted a training seminar at the Sheraton Hotel and resort in Atlantic City, New York.
The Guyanese was introduced as the only Caribbean representative by Master Jose L. Torres II, the NAFMA Director, who asked for a photo opportunity with Bobb and Billy Blanks.
Master Jose II Torres selected the Guyanese to be a part of the US National team for the upcoming 2012 Asia tour to Korea and China. This tour will be held in three towns in China, Beijing, Shao Lin Temple and Shanghai.
In preparation for this tour Bobb will be participating in training programmes in Guyana to showcase his handwork before returning to New York.
Sensei Bobb wishes to thank all his sponsors who have contributed in making his tour a success and look forward for their continued support. He made special, mention of Prime Minister Samuel Hinds, Minister of Culture, Youth & Sport Dr. Frank Anthony MP, Director of Sport Neil Kumar, the Beterverwagting NDC office and Marlon’s Grocery in Beterverwagting, friend and family supporter.
A training seminar will be held at the Beterverwagting Community Centre for all Martial Arts schools and a fee of $200 will be charged. This event is set for December 10, 2011 at 11:00hrs.
Grading for the Harpy Eagle Martial Arts Academy students will be held on December 18, 2011 at the same venue from 10:00hrs and for new enrolment into the academy, persons can contact Sensei Bobb on 220-1606, 685-1123.
