PLEASE allow me space in your letter column to reply to Mr. Sahadeo Bates letter in Kaieteur News of November 20 captioned: “PPP/C trying to cause unrest?” For someone who portrays some knowledge on security matters, Mr. Bates has displayed a propensity for guess work and perception rather than for hard facts. Mr. Bates, APNU held a public meeting in the heart of Enmore a week ago and was not heckled or otherwise interrupted.
In fact, the speakers had no audience. I am sure if they go to Leonora, they will likewise be tolerated. Stop guessing, Bates!
And while I am at it, does APNU have ownership of ‘Big Market’? By your own reference, “APNU kept their meeting every Friday night…” you are inferring that it would have been OK for APNU to be harassed in Enmore and Leonora because the PPP/C frequent those areas. Are you for real?
Stop stirring trouble, Mr. Bates. This country under whichever administration can do without it.
