Ensuring of election and post election violence must be a priority

IT is time to ensure that the election and its immediate aftermath do not end in any violence. The Disciplinary Services should be strategically placed to deal with any mischief by misguided individuals or criminal opportunists. It is no secret that criminals use political protests to do their evil deeds. Hopefully, the authorities will make available, every equipment that will record and identify bad behaviour. The GPF cannot provide as good a security protection by themselves, it would need the assistance of the GDF, which could help guard polling sites. We need the best proactive steps to be taken, instead of what should have be done after violence has occurred. Many people are banking on their party’s victory and may be unhappy with the results, which may lead to some
unpleasantries.
