FABIO Bremmer (no address given) was remanded to prison yesterday on a charge of having several 12-gauge cartridges in his possession without lawful authority.
Before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, he pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on November 15, he had 25 to 28 gauge, 25 to 20 gauge, 25 to 12 gauge and 25 to 16 gauge cartridges without being the holder of a firearm licence.
Police Corporal Jairam Luckhai, prosecuting, said ranks on mobile patrol had stopped and searched the defendant when they discovered the ammunition in a haversack he was carrying.
Bremmer is to make another court appearance on December 6.
