RHTYSC congratulates team

THE Patron, President and members of the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTYSC) would like to express congratulations to the Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets first division team on their achievement of being crowned champions of the highly successful Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) Universal DVD Twenty20 Tournament last Sunday at the Blairmont Community Centre Ground. The victory not only confirmed the team’s status as Guyana’s best, but was also the result of the hard work put in by both Management and players at the club over the years.
To date this year, the RHTGG team have played unbeaten and among the major titles in the bag already are the Ramcharitar Construction Services 50-Overs Knockout Title, the Busta Champion of Champions and now the Universal Twenty20 while we have already reached the semi-finals in the Tenelec 50-Overs Tournament.
Success has been achieved under the young leadership of the highly talented 16-year-old Shawn Pereira and his supporting cast of players consisting of Renwick Batson, Delbert Hicks, Assad Fudadin, Royston Crandon, Dominic Rikhi, Khemraj Mahadeo, Ravi Narine, Jason Sinclair, Eon Hooper, Clinton Pestano, Rajiv Ivan, Shailendra Shameer, Lenny Sanichar, Arif Chan and Lloydel Lewis.
We salute each one of our players and for sticking together as a unit despite several problems along the way.
Our status as Guyana’s leading Youth and Sports Club has been achieved by our ability to remain focused and to solve internal problems via dialogue and understanding. One well known cricket journalist in his Sunday column stated that the club has internal issues with its two national players.
The very best has its own problems and the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club is no exception but problems only unite us more and our success on Sunday last proved that we are even more determined to prove the negative thinkers wrong.
The Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club shares this victory with our official sponsor Mr Ravi Mangar of Gizmos & Gadgets and his entire staff. We are proud to represent the Gizmos & Gadgets brand and would continue to do so in the future with passion and pride.
Special thanks also to the thousands of our supporters whose love drives us on to greater success and the club would like to reassure all other clubs in Berbice that while we enjoy our dominance of the game at the junior and senior levels, the club and its cricketers would continue to work harder to assist them to reach our standards under our numerous programmes as our aim is to lift the game in Berbice to an all-time level.
