TRAVIS George (no address given) was granted $75,000 bail yesterday, after he pleaded not guilty to a simple larceny before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
It is alleged that the defendant, on November 11, stole one digital ‘Sony’ camera, valued $74,200, property of Devon Sutton.
Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, said the virtual complainant was at a bus park when he felt someone pulling his camera bag.
The prosecutor said the defendant managed to pull away the bag and escape but the owner gave chase and reported to a mobile police patrol, as a result of which George was apprehended on the basis of the given description.
George is expected to make another Court appearance on November 21.
