LOCAL beverage giant Banks DIH Limited has made a significant financial contributions to three leading Guyanese motor racers, ahead of Sunday’s GT&T/Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championships billed for the South Dakota Circuit. The presentations were made to Ace driver Andrew King, fast-rising Danny Persaud and Afraz Allie. The presentations took place at King’s Garage at Prashad Nagar.
King who will be competing in the Championship Group 4 will be driving under President’s Beer, the Company’s news beer on the market.
Persaud will be representing the world renowned Banks Beer while Allie is being sponsored by Guinness Stout.
The motor racers will be looking to keep the Guyana and chequered flags flying high, said Banks DIH Commuinications Manager Troy Peters who urged motorists attending Sunday’s championships to leave the racing to the racing drivers on the track.
He encouraged them to drink responsibly and to be careful on the roadways.
Banks Beer Brand Manager Brian Choo Hen said the Company has always contributed significantly towards the development of sports across Guyana, adding that yesterday’s generosity was just a continuation of the relationship that exists between Banks DIH Ltd and the motor racing fraternity.
He pledged his Company’s continued support in the future
Also present were Guinness Brand Manager Lee Baptiste, Brand managers Geoff Clement and Errol Nelson as well as Pre-Seller Shawn Stephney and Consultant Michael Fung.
All three racers thanked the Company for the sponsorship, adding that without corporate assistance it would be extremely difficult for them to remain in the sport.
