Court told…

Taxi driver pointed gun, other man robbed passengers
TAXI driver Charles Findlayson (no address given) was refused bail yesterday on two charges of robbery under arms.

One charge said, on October 30, being armed with a gun, he robbed Judy Stewart of two gold rings, valued $30,000 and $6,000 cash and the other alleged that, on the same date, he robbed Joylyn Bailey of a $9,000 cell phone and $2,500 in cash.
Police Corporal Jairam Luckhai, prosecuting, said the two virtual complainants joined the accused car as passengers, when another man was sitting in it, after they had attended the ‘All Black Party’.
The prosecutor said Findlayson drove to Woolford Avenue, in Georgetown, where he pointed a gun at the victims and the other man relieved them of their belongings.
The accused was remanded to prison and will make another court appearance tomorrow.
