“It is always a pleasure to see the best cyclists in Guyana converging on the National Park to remember Troy who was an outstanding rider in his day.
We will continue to make our contribution to the sport in Guyana and we would like to wish the riders the best of health as they continue their respective careers – including the young and promising brigade.”
Those were the words of Managing Director of Humphrey Products and Farm Limited, George Humphrey, the father of the late Troy Humphrey, who later vowed to continue supporting the event in the future which had over $515 000 up for grabs in Wednesday’s event.
He also expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event which was postponed from last Saturday because of the inclement weather, including club officials and cycling enthusiasts who came out in their numbers to add energy to the event and make it a success.
