Digicel Blackberry services down

Digicel Guyana Blackberry services, including out of town calls, topping up, Blackberry messenger and internet shut down on Wednesday morning. The cellular company via a text message, said, ‘Dear valued customer, we apologise for the technical issues currently affecting some services. We are working to rectify the situation and restore all services.’
On Digicel Guyana page on Facebook there were numerous complaints as consumers vented their dissatisfaction about the break in the Blackberry services.
Meanwhile, Public Relations Manager Shonnet Moore said in a press release, “We are currently experiencing connectivity issues which have resulted in a loss of some services. Our technical team is working assiduously to restore all services.”
She added, “In the meantime, we will provide $300 free credit to all customers who are currently on the Digicel network to facilitate communication needs. Additional compensation for Blackberry subscribers who have experienced a complete loss of data services will be addressed today.
These services will be restored gradually in the shortest time possible, Moore added.
She said, “We sincerely apologise for all the inconvenience.”
