The Opposition looking to get “jaaray”
The Opposition is running more scared. The massive crowds at the PPP/C Rallies and Public Meetings are the reason for the fears in the Opposition camp. With four major rallies complete, their fears have increased tenfold. According to many, that’s a gross understatement; their fears have increased thousands-fold in keeping with the tens of thousands that are converging on the PPP/C rally sites. The Opposition media puppets tried to portray that the PPP/C has lost the ability to attract large crowds.
Freddie Kissoon and others from Prime News, Capitol News, Stabroek News, Kaieteur News and Channels 9 and 6, led their political masters in Congress Place and the AFC headquarters to believe that the PPP/C has lost support. When the Albion crowd was shown, Granger balked. He queried from his media cronies in the establishments mentioned why he was given wrong information. The reply was that Albion is PPP/C land and that was expected. Their flimsy excuse worked on Granger.
Then came Kitty, a stone-throw away from where the founder of the PNC, Forbes Burnham, was born. The crowd was even larger than Albion. Again, Granger queried. His media-crony group shrugged. They hadn’t an answer. Kitty is part of Region 4 which has been won by the PNC in every election since 1992. By that indicator, Kitty is part of PNC land. Granger remains in a quandary. He pondered as to whether the PPP/C has gained tremendous support or if his media cronies are fooling him.
He was right on both counts. Being unable to counter the fact that the PPP/C is getting stronger, he took his frustration out on his media subordinates. “Stop fooling me”, he yelled at them. Tails between legs, Freddie, Adam and the others bowed and promised not to fool him again. So they resorted to doing what they do best; bash the government and spread lies and misinformation. That was a promise to Granger. He smiled at their loyalty and had expectations of smaller crowds at upcoming PPP/C events.
Freddie and others continued to spew their vile diatribes with wild and imaginary speculations. Of course, government was at the receiving end. BAPS came Linden; PNC town; PPP/C Rally; over 10,000 attend! The message went around early in Linden that a mammoth crowd was expected. By then APNU had already planned its “rally” for the night before. Convinced that a huge crowd will attend the PPP/C Rally in Linden and that his media cronies are fooling him, Granger decided not to attend his own “rally” in PNC town!
He and Mr. Corbin abandoned their comrades in the mining town! The APNU “rally” was attended by less that one thousand! Scared, Granger began to run. As he ran away from Linden, he chased Freddie, Adam and the rest of the crew. He screamed as he panted and ran, “why do you continue to fool me?” Scared, the media cronies ran for their lives. They know when Granger is in such a mood they have to try and stay as far as possible. Not fully rested, up comes Lusignan; a village that faced the brunt of marauding gunmen in 2008 when eleven innocent men, women and children were slaughtered.
The Opposition, Freddie and the rest of that gang tried to take advantage of the pain of the villagers in an effort to instigate the residents against the government. They assured Granger that the PPP/C cannot muster a crowd in Lusignan. They were shocked. Granger was fuming. Some 30,000 people attended the Rally; the largest crowd to date! Granger is left speechless. Freddie and the others began to run anticipating Granger’s chase. Granger and his pals in the APNU/AFC coalition are running; running scared!
All they are seeing is red; red flags of the PPP/C! They are also seeing white; thousands clad in white PPP/C T-shirts! They are also seeing former comrades; former comrades who abandoned the PNC and joined the winning PPP/C! So scared they are, they believe they might be possessed. As such, they are looking for someone to “jaaray” them. Freddie promised to find someone. Granger is not taking his word. Apparently, if he catches Freddie, it would be a different kind of “jaaray”!
With Halloween coming, Granger’s fright would not ease since more PPP/C rallies are on the way. So if you see Granger and Robert running with garlic garlands and “agarbatti” in their hands, don’t be surprised; know that they haven’t found someone to “jaaray” them! The person has abandoned the PNC/APNU ship! Apparently Freddie and others haven’t told Granger.
They are scared too! Hmmm!
