Feng takes lead after four rounds
SU-HAI Feng has assumed the lead in the Guyana Chess federation (GCF) organized Sasha Cells sponsored National Junior Chess Championship after the completion of the first four rounds last weekend, securing maximum points from his four matches.

Feng defeated Rashad Hussain in his opening game and former junior champion Cecil Cox in his second on Saturday, while he turned back the challenges of Meikel Mohabir and Sham Khan in his third and fourth round matches on Sunday at Olympic House on High Street, Kingston.
Reigning National Junior Champion Ron Motilall opened his defence of his title with a victory over Sham Khan and went on to hold Anthony Drayton to a draw in round two which saw Kana Khan creating a stunner by defeating Hussain, while Sham Khan defeated Mohabir.
Motilall handed Hussain his third consecutive loss in round three, before suffering an upset defeat against Cox in his fourth round encounter.
Mohabir secured his first win of the tournament by defeating Kana Khan in the final round of the day, while Hussain and Drayton played to a draw and after four rounds, the points standing reads: Feng (4 points), Drayton and Cox three each, Ron Motilall two and a half, Sham Khan, Kana Khan and Meikel Mohabir one each, while Hussain sits at the bottom of the table on half of a point.
