QUACY Bruce, 36, was yesterday remanded to prison on a break and enter and larceny charge.
Before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell, the accused (no address given) was not required to plea to the indictable offence, particulars of which said he broke and entered the dwelling house of Lila Bruce and stole one laptop computer, valued $146,888, property of Owen Bruce, his brother.
The prisoner has to be back in court on October 18.
While in the courtroom he repeatedly asked for the handcuffs to be taken off him but his request was denied.
As he was being escorted to the court lock-ups, he began to behave in a disorderly manner, with his hands in a pocket, which, when checked was found to contain an ice-pick.
