– Company commission James Brush
– Basketball Court Dressing Room
WHAT started out as a simple discussion and an affirmative “yes we will”, came to being on Sunday evening, when distributors Ansa McAl trading commissioned the brand new dressing room facility at the Mackenzie Hard Court in Linden.
It’s the first time in the club’s half a century in existence that such a facility was placed on the basketball court which came as a sigh of relief for patrons and players alike.
Prior to it being built, players would had to dress in the open and no secure place for them to place their personal belongings, while patrons would have frequented the MSC Ground toilet facility.
The club President Avery Trim and other executives deemed the new dressing room a blessing not only to the sport of basketball, but to the club who is on a drive to restore the MSC Ground to the form it once was in the heydays of the venue.
Meanwhile, Ansa McAl’s Marketing Director Troy Cadogan and Marketing Representative Darshnie Yusuf both echoed their delight of playing a part in enhancing an historical landmark in Linden and further lamented on how committed they are for the development of sports and its infrastructure in Guyana.
Branded with one of Ansa McAl’s flag ship products, Stag Beer, the facility boasts two players dressing area with fans, along with, a bathroom and a male and female toilet. It is named after former national captain, James Brush, who also was a prominent member of one of the country’s top basketball club YMCA Kings before his migration to the USA.
Shower of praises came from some long standing community members who collectively admitted that having such a facility at the MSC ground is long overdue.
The facility was immediately put to use during the start of the Mackeson Smooth Moves 3-on-3 Basketball tournament which was launched on Sunday last.
