THE Evangelical Association of the Caribbean, in partnership with the Guyana Evangelical Fellowship, will be presenting CONECAR 2011 in Guyana. Congress of Evangelicals in the Caribbean (CONECAR) is a biennial meeting of Caribbean church officials and is conducted in various territories in the region.
This year’s conference will be held from October 17-20 at the Ocean View International Hotel, Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara.
The theme for CONECAR 2011 is ‘The Caribbean Church: Its Missing Dimension’.
Delegates are expected from across the Caribbean, as well as from the United States, Canada and Europe.
The host committee is headed by Rev. John Smith, President of the Guyana Evangelical Fellowship.
A conference secretariat has been set up at Central Assembly of God on Church and East Streets in the city.
Registration cost is US$160, and this will cover the cost of meals, materials and other incidentals.
The task of CONECAR 2011 is to articulate and affirm sound evangelical principles that are biblical and functional for the long-term future of the church in the Caribbean, and to inspire participants to expand their worldview and develop a concern for those in their community, especially those who are different from them, and ultimately, for the whole world.
