Kaieteur News’ shameful attempt to whip up public sympathy
FORMER PNC propagandist and now Kaieteur News Editor-in-chief, Adam Harris made a shameful attempt to whip up public sympathy for his disgraced boss in his weekend column on Sunday September 11, 2011 titled: ‘The wrath of a government’.
No amount of ‘spin’ by Harris or letters of sympathy from Glenn Lall’s colleagues in the Diaspora can cloud the revelations in those wikileaks cables. Most of the allegations of Lall’s connection to the criminal underworld were already in the public domain before the wikileaks expose’. In fact, even his former business partner Shaun Samaroo wrote of being warned in the late 90s about Lall’s ties to criminals (see  “KN started with a vision for an investigative weekend journal to help rebuild the country” SN 2011-09-07)
And further, I am sure that when Lall supplied the information to U.S. authorities he was well aware of the risks involved in such actions. So for him to now accuse the state media of putting his life in danger for reporting on what is already in the public domain is dishonest.
