I have been a member of The United Force since the days of Peter D’Guiar and an executive member since 1995. I have been an executive of the Guyana United Youth Society (GUYS) during my youth days and have been looking after Unity House and premises since 1993.
TUF has an executive and a constitution which reside power in that executive, not in any one person or officer. I am one of the executives who met on September 1 and voted to remove Ms Garrido-Lowe from the party. She has been putting decisions in the names of executives when they were no such decisions or meetings.
Having been on TUF’s executive for over 15 years I can say that the following persons to my knowledge are members of the executive.
Ismail Muhammad – Chairman Joined in 1997 Party Chairman 2005
Errol Van Nooten – Vice-Chairman Joined in 2005 Deputy Chairman 2005
(Mr Van Nooten resigned in 2010 and returned to the USA)
