ASSOCIATED Industries Limited (AINLIM) Thursday presented awards to five corporate and private entities at a customer appreciation ceremony at Neal and Massy staff facilities at Ruimveldt.
BK International Inc. and the Ministry of Agriculture/National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA) were recipients of the corporate awards, while the private sector awardees were Messrs Ronald Fernandes, Deryck Kanhai and R. Woolford/L. Ramotar.
Deo Persaud, Chairman of AINLIM and Chief Executive Officer of the Neal and Massy Group of Companies in Guyana said the prizes were presented in appreciation of the support of their valued customers who have purchased Kabelco excavators from AINLIM.
. Persaud said since  AINLIM received the Kabelco dealership in 2004, customers have been extremely pleased with the performance of the excavators that are used largely in the mining sector and for drainage and irrigation.
He lauded Brian Tiwarie, Managing Director of BK International, who was in attendance, for his continued support.
“The first sale of the excavator to a company locally was to BK International, while local miner Michael Vieira made the first private purchase,” Persaud disclosed.
Persaud said he was proud of the achievements of the Neal and Massy Group. “We remain excited about Guyana’s future development. We are committed, dedicated and optimistic about the future,” he concluded.
Customers who attended the appreciation ceremony were offered a 15 percent discount on spare parts for their excavators, for a limited period.
