FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD Floyd Haynes, of Lot 23 Da Silva Street, Newtown, has been reported missing, by his grandmother, Lucille Johnson.
The teen, of African descent, about five feet tall, dark brown in complexion and slim built, left home on Sunday afternoon, August 21, to visit a friend in Kitty, also in Georgetown, but never returned. The student of Queenstown Community College was wearing a white T-shirt and a pair of black denim trousers when he departed his residence and other persons living within, recalled seeing him on the road in the same neighbourhood that afternoon.
A subsequent check with the Kitty Police, to whom he is known, revealed that they had seen him, but did not know his status.
After a few days had passed and he still did not return home, reports were made to the Child Protection Agency, as well as the Probation and Welfare Department of the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security.
Officers at those agencies advised that a missing report be published but Floyd has still not shown up nor has anything been heard of him.
His relatives are asking anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to contact them on telephone numbers 658-2814 or 226-9577 or the nearest Police station.
