– at National Stadium
ONE of the most anticipated concerts in years is slated for the National Stadium tonight, as dancehall titans Vybz Kartel and Mavado will take the stage at the Jamzone Regional Night Superconcert.
The event will mark only the second time the two have ever performed together, the other event being their 2009 Peace Concert performance at the West Kingston Jamboree stage show in Tivoli Gardens, Kingston.
Hits and Jams promises that the thousands of Vybz Kartel and Mavado fans in Guyana will not be disappointed as the duo plans to put on a show unlike any other. Both artistes are known for their dynamic music and power-packed stage performances. Guyanese artiste Jory will also be bringing his own l vibes to the event.

Ever since the news of this musical coalition became public, fans are expecting a clash in light of the pervading remnants of the lyrical feud in which these two artistes were engaged. However Hits and Jams are reminding that both artistes have overcome their differences and intend to entertain their Guyanese fans.

Stressing that the concert will not be a musical clash, but simply a night of great dancehall music and entertainment, the Hits and Jams team is adamant in conveying this message to the public. Continuing, the team says on their website Jamzonesummerbreak.com that the team would like to maintain its reputation of hosting fun, clean, incident and violence-free events. “This show was not created with the aim of fuelling any animosity among extremist fans and we hope that supporters nationwide are not attending with ulterior intentions”, quotes the site.
