CONFUSION reigned among relatives at Charity, last Friday, when a casket transported from Suddie, also on the Essequibo Coast, was found to contain the wrong corpse.
Some of the mourners fainted and others screamed in tears as they disowned the deceased. It was disclosed that they had gathered for the funeral service of Uttelto Garraway, whose body had been kept at Suddie Funeral Parlour but, somehow, was mistakenly replaced by that of another dead person, Baldwin English.
That discovery caused survivors of English to rush to Charity Farmers Stelling, where boisterous exchanges took place before the mix-up was resolved.
