Logger’s body found in Pomeroon River

The swollen body of a 48-year-old logger was discovered floating in the Aripiaco Creek, a tributary of the Pomeroon River, Friday morning.
According to reports, the logger, Alex Spencer, was missing since last Tuesday night after he failed to show up at his home in Warapana, in the Lower Pomeroon River.

Reports said the swollen body of the logger was discovered with both hands outstretched. The body was clad in a red pants and a white jersey.
The body was placed in a small boat and brought to Charity by police.
A post mortem is expected to be performed on the body.
The logger has left to mourn his wife, Ms Yvonne Richards, and five children.
Police are investigating.
