A 10-year-old girl was rushed to the Suddie Hospital yesterday and had to be air- dashed to the Georgetown Public Hospital after being involved in an accident with a speeding hire car on the Middlesex public road.
Reports said the injured child, Kimberly Persaud, a student of the Huis’t Dieren Primary School, was riding a bicycle along the Middlesex Public Road when she collided with the hire car that was proceeding to Supenaam.
According to reports, the child was hurled into the air on impact and thrown several feet away.
Reports said both arms of the child were broken, and she sustained multiple fractures about her body.
She was rushed to the Suddie Hospital where she received medical attention and was immediately air-dashed to Georgetown Public Hospital.
Meanwhile, police have arrested the driver and impounded the car at the Suddie Police Station.
