IT is with great sadness that I read the story of the murder of Rusty Lall in the Guyana Chronicle on Sunday July 24, 2011. My sympathy goes out to the Lall family and it is my sincere hope that justice is served for this senseless and brazen attack.

This unfortunate event, affords the authorities the opportunity to reaffirm that cruelty to animals will not be tolerated, and I urge the influential persons of society to take the opportunity to speak out against  cruelty to animals.
