COLWYN McKoy (no address given) was yesterday remanded to prison by Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry on a charge of assault.
The man pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars stated that on July 9, he unlawfully wounded Meville Thorne.
Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, said that on the day in question the defendant went to the Thorne’s home, and they got into an argument.
Then McKoy picked up a hammer and struck Thorne several times on the head.
Bail was refused and Mckoy will return to court on July 22.
