GENERAL and Regional elections are drawing near. The PPP/C is heading for another victory and I want this victory to be a landslide victory. All Amerindians must vote for the PPP/C, since the PPP/C is the only governing party since independence in 1966 to focus much attention on Amerindians to improve their social and economic wellbeing despite limited resources. Thanks to President Jagdeo. Amerindians would be making a severe mistake if they vote for APNU, TUF, AFC or any other party since these shell parties are not committed to the social and economic well being of Amerindians. Amerindians must therefore beware of these parties.
Mr. Editor, with the exception of the PNCR, the other parties in APNU, are shell parties having no constituency in the length and breadth of Guyana. So APNU will loose the 2011 elections.
The PNC created APNU which means “A Partnership for National Unity” yet Robert Corbin, the leader of the PNC, wants to stop the ERC from doing its work to create ethnic harmony and security in Guyana by having the High Court granting an injunction against the ERC. APNU therefore is not a believer in national unity and this is what all Guyanese must know. The WPA also is not a believer in national unity since it is a part of the APNU coalition and Walter Rodney who was a fierce opponent of the past PNC regime and now deceased is turning in his grave. In fact Forbes Burnham called the WPA, the “worst possible alternative” and no doubt he was not wrong. Further the WPA accused the PNC of murdering Walter Rodney when it was in government but now, lo and behold, the WPA is definitely not a political factor anymore and has brought disgrace to its few supporters if it still has.
The rest of the parties in APNU are not worth mentioning. The AFC with lots of talk is approaching the 2011 elections promising the Guyanese people the moon and the stars but fails to tell them where the money is going to come from. The AFC is visiting Amerindian communities and fooling them just to get their votes and worst of all it has a flawed Amerindian development plan which only mentions about Region Nine with the exclusion of the other regions which have Amerindian communities as well. The AFC is therefore definitely at sea where Amerindian development is concerned and this is what Amerindians in Guyana must know and reject the AFC on polling day.
TUF is now political history with the departure of Manzoor Nadir. Being a government minister I am impressed with Mr. Nadir’s performance. Continue your good work with the PPP/C government sir.
My humble advice to all Guyanese therefore is to return the PPP/C back to office.
PPP/C heading for another victory
